John Dowling retiring as Township Supervisor

A change in direction for township government in Iroquois County.

Long-time Middleport Township Supervisor John Dowling of Watseka is retiring, effective March 31, 2014. Dowling, a retired educator for the Unit Nine school district in Watseka, also served several years on the County Board, representing District 2.

The Middleport Township Board has named Kevin Bohlmann of rural Watseka as Dowling's replacement. Bohlmann is currently serving as a Middleport Township Trustee.

The next township election is not until the April of 2017.
