Agents with the Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group (KAMEG) seized 75 cultivated cannabis plants from a property site in Milford (Tuesday).
Agents executed a search warrant at 2013 E and 750 N Road were they located about 23 grams of suspected cannabis. Also seized was equipment used in the production of cannabis plants.
Arrested and charged with unlawful production of cannabis plants was 55-year-old Thomas Crook.
In Watseka, KAMEG agents executed a warrant at 510 E. Ash Street and located suspected cannabis. Watseka Police assisted in the arrests of 41-year-old Tompa Sears and 30-year-old Alisa McPherson. Both are charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.
Three handguns and cannabis were seized from a residence at 378 S. 4th Avenue in Kankakee. 25-year-old Clarence Shipp faces 3-counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm.
KAMEG agents located a .22 caliber, .45 caliber and .38 caliber handguns. All were loaded. Also seized was suspected cannabis and drug paraphernalia. Kankakee police assisted the agents.
