The Boys and Girls track & field teams at Kankakee High School were honored by the Kankakee County Board (Tuesday). Both the Boys and Girls won the State Championships at Eastern Illinois University last month. The County Board proclaimed June 14, 2022 as Kankakee High School Kays Girls and Boys Track & Field Team Day in Kankakee County.
It was also pointed out the county was well-represented with individual state champions from St. Anne and Herscher High Schools, and also Manteno. The Kankakee Boys and Girls won the 2A State Championship at O'Brien Field at EIU.
