Matt Alexander-Hildebrand will contnue as the new Chairman of the Kankakee County Board.  He was sworn-in Monday when the County Board conducted its re-organization meeting to start FY2025.  Hildebrand has served as board leader the last month after former Chairman Andy Wheeler left the position, choosing not to seek re-election. Alexander-Hildebrandreceived full support in Monday's vote to continue as Chairman.  Craig Long was elected Vice-Chair.  Newly-elected Board members were also sworn-in by Circuit Judge Bill Dickenson.
