The Kankakee County Coroner’s Office (Tuesday) reported the death of a Bonfield man after an overnight crash. It happened north of Route 17 on County Road 8000 W.

41-year-old Ronald Jones was pronounced dead at the scene about 7:30 am. The wreck wasn’t discovered until Tuesday morning.

Jones was driving a pickup truck that appeared to have left the road. Jones was ejected when the vehicle flipped several times.

An autopsy was scheduled.
