Bishop McNamara High School was again the host site for Kankakee County’s Relay for Life Saturday. And just under $250,000 was raised for cancer research.

This year's goal was to raise $350,000.

The Daily-Journal reports this year’s top three participants included John Kaufman with $10,000, Nancy Kaufman with $10,000 and Christi Landeck with $9,000.

Team totals show included One Nucor Way having raised $51,162, RIDE4LIFE with $25,000 and Peanutbutter Conspirators with $15,975.

Donations still can be made by visiting acsevents.org, clicking on the "donate" tab, "donate to event," "search by ZIP code," 60901 and then click on "Relay For Life of Kankakee County."
