Kankakee County Sheriff investigation: 4 men shot to death in Pembroke Township

Kankakee County Sheriff Mike Downey says all leads will be pursued in looking for the gunman who shot and killed four men in Pembroke Township.

The sheriff told reporters (Monday) police have reason to believe the four black male victims are all connected to the crimes , even though one of the victims was discovered away from the house where three others were found Sunday......

Just before 1 p.m. Sunday, a family member discovered the bodies of three men who had been shot to death inside a home on 5500E Road. Their identities were released by Kankakee County Coroner Bob Gessner as a father and his two sons.

56-year-old Reginald Neal, 24-year-old Dangelo Neal and 21-year-old Davante Hopkins. All died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Sheriff Downey said the triple homicide may be linked to another homicide that occurred early Saturday morning.
At 1:12 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a shooting on 1725E Road. There, they found the body of 46-year-old Ralph Ledet laying alongside the road. He was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff said all the victims are connected to the House where Sunday’s three victims were discovered –that was Ledets’s house.
