A truck driver was seriously injured this (Thurs) morning on southbound I-57 at the exit-312 marker. Kankakee Fire responded to an accident around 6 am. The semi and trailer was found on fire, the driver trapped. Reports indicated the rig had rolled over, caught fire, trapping the driver. Kankakee Fire extricated the victim. No other vehicles were involved. Emergency responders shut down the interstate.
