A family was displaced and about a $100,000 in damage from an attic fire in Kankakee Friday. No injury was reported. Fire personnel answered the call at 1:42 pm to 655 S. Myrtle Av. It was a single-family 2-story house. The fire was wind-driven. Multiple departments responded. Crews were on the scene about two hours.
