Kankakee man arrested for 2016 Bradley bank robbery

A 26-year-old Kankakee man is under arrest for the December 2016 armed robbery of Federated Bank in Bradley.

Joe Johnson Jr. was served with an arrest warrant (Monday) after he was located by Kankakee Police. The Bradley Police Department with the assistance of the Kankakee County State’s Attorney’s Office obtained the arrest warrant, naming Joe Johnson Jr. for armed robbery with a firearm.

It was December 12, 2016 when Bradley Police answered a call to a report of a hold-up alarm at the Federated Bank. The victim told investigators she was robbed at gunpoint.

Bradley Police report thru a collaborative effort, officers were able to locate crucial evidence that was turned over to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab. The lab analysis of the evidence recovered was identified as belonging to Johnson.
