Kankakee Mayor Chasity Wells-Armstrong will serve a two-year term on the Board of Directors for the National League of Cities (NLC).

The NLC’s membership elected Wells-Armstrong at the 2018 City Summit held last week in Los Angeles. An issued press release states the mayor was elected to the 2-year term. The board’s focus is providing strategic direction and guidance for NLC’s federal advocacy, governance and membership activities.
