The Kankakee Public Library is the setting for today’s (Tuesday) candidate forum featuring Kankakee County candidates for Clerk and Treasurer. The NAACP will sponsor the 5:30 pm forums on the 4th floor of the library in downtown Kankakee.

County Clerk candidates are Republican incumbent Dan Hendrickson and challenger, Democrat Barbara Wells.

Candidates for Kankakee County Treasurer are incumbent Republican Nick Africana and Democrat Ray Chamberlain.

The NAACP will also sponsor a forum at the library October 16th at 6 pm. It’ll feature the candidates for the 79th District Illinois House seat, Republican incumbent Lindsay Parkhurst and former Representative, Democrat Lisa Dugan.
