Kankakee Police arrest man for rape, armed robbery of 63-year-old woman

A 27-year-old Kankakee man, who police say is a four-time felon, has been arrested for the November 10 rape and armed robbery of a 63-year-old Kankakee woman. The rape took place in the victim's Riverview apartment.

Travien Moore was captured by the Kankakee Police S.W.A.T. team after DNA evidence confirmed his identity as the suspect in what Police Chief Larry Regnier (Ring – E) called a "particularly heinous" crime.

Moore will be charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault, home invasion and armed robbery.
He is scheduled to make a weekend court appearance today (Sat).

Police reported Moore served time in prison four-times since 2006.
