Reports of someone attempting to get children to enter his vehicle has prompted Kankakee County authorities to issue a public advisory.

On Monday, a 15 year old female stated while she was in the area of 400 W. Station Street when she was approached by a white male in his 60's with gray hair, wearing glasses and a baseball cap. The man was driving a red pick-up truck with rust. The male driver attempted to talk the girl into entering his vehicle.

The girl refused but got a possible partial license plate of 5525YA.

Bourbonnais Police reported a similar incident near Edwin and Shawnee yesterday (Tues). A similar description was reported.

Anyone with information is asked NOT TO TAKE ACTION, but instead, contact your local Police.
