Snowbound ‎vehicles will be towed

The Kankakee Police will begin enforcing the Snow Ordinance Immediately. Any snowbound ‎vehicles will be towed beginning today. ‎

Normally, whenever there are 2 inches of snow or more, vehicles are prohibited from parking on ‎the even side of the streets on even days, and odd side on the odd days. This winter we have ‎been placing courtesy notices on vehicles, and recently have placed notices. ‎

However, with the forecast for more accumulating snow, snowbound vehicles will be towed ‎immediately, and the ordinance will be enforced for the remainder of the season. This is for the ‎safety of all.‎ {submitted}
