Kankakee shooters found guilty, face life in prison

Prosecutors said an unarmed man was shot when the Wade cousins were out looking for revenge.

A Kankakee County jury agreed, finding Jerrell and Jonathan Wade guilty of the attempted murder of another Kankakee man.


The jury took about two hours before finding the Wades guilty of all charges.

They face 31 years to life in prison. A sentencing date is yet to set.

The defense tried to present a case that 26-year-oldJerrell Wade was acting in self-defense when he shot 25-year-old Gregory Dismuke. The March 8th shooting took place outside a barber shop.
