A structure fire at a vacant residential unit alerted Kankakee Fire Sunday morning. Chief Bryan LaRoche reported fire crews responded to the 500-block of S. Gordon Avenue at 3 am. No injury was reported. The investigation was underway into the cause. Kankakee Fire was assisted by Bradley, Bourbonnais and Limestone Fire and Riverside Ambulance.
