Victim’s daughter charged with murder

A 61-year-old Kankakee woman is facing a murder charge for the stabbing death of her mother. 61-year-old Kathleen Kirkpatrick was arrested for Saturday’s death of 89-year-old Kathleen Ruch.

Kankakee Police made the arrest. The death was the result of a stabbing at a residence on South Greenwood Avenue.
Emergency personnel answered a 9-1-1 call concerning an incident at the residence. The victim was pronounced dead inside the home, according to police.
