The community is invited to celebrate with the KCC Cavaliers National Championship team at a World Series ring ceremony at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 in the KCC Auditorium.
A reception will follow the ceremony.
KCC’s baseball team won the NJCAA Division II National Championship by defeating Mercer County (N.J.) on June 2. The Cavaliers finished with a record of 54 wins, 11 losses and one tie.
On their way to the championship, the Cavaliers accumulated a tournament-record 78 total runs in seven games, which included scoring in double-digits six times.
The Cavaliers are coached by Todd Post, and the assistant coach is Bryce Shafer.
