Kankakee School District #111 continues working with local police in the investigation of several fights that broke out this week. The superintendent’s office posted information stating up to 16 students have been identified having played  part in the fights that broke out Tuesday when classes were dismissing. Kankakee Police used security cameras to investigate the case. 

Superintendent Generva Walters said disciplinary action will be considered once evidence is collected and Kankakee Police complete an investigation. Increased police presence was at the high school Wednesday and Thursday.
