"Hold them to their own standards..."

Former Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger has organized Thursday as a Day of Action and calling on Elon Musk and Republicans in Congress to do their part in ‘controlling government waste.’ He says it’s time to call out their hypocrisy; it’s time to fight back.  Kinzinger said Republicans in Congress have made it clear – they’re fine with Elon Musk clashing jobs, freezing grants, and gutting agencies without oversight. But the former GOP voice for central-Illinois points out, they refuse to act as a coequal branch of government, letting the Trump administration run roughshod over democracy.

Kinzinger’s message --- If members of Congress are willing to let Elon and the White House block grants for Schools in their own districts…. Block grants for Farmers and Ag programs….and block business startup grants ---- then it’s only fair they have some skin in the game.

DOGE (Dept of Gov’t Efficiency) supporting Members of Congress should slash their staff, cut office budgets, and reduce their taxpayer-funded salaries. The former Congressman adds, if they won’t do their jobs as a coequal branch of government, then why should taxpayers keep funding their waste ?
