Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) introduced the “Streamlining and Expediting Approval for Communications Technologies Act” to improve how federal agencies review and approve applications to install communications technology on federal real property. The legislation is intended to be part of Congress’ upcoming efforts to produce an infrastructure bill for the American people. Upon introducing this bill, Congressman Kinzinger released thefollowing statement:

“As a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, I am dedicated to working with my colleagues on improving infrastructure across the United States. Our effort must include provisions to enhance access to broadband services, especially in rural areas. Public and private investment in broadband are critical, and the government must not impede these efforts.

“Today, I introduced the “Streamlining and Expediting Approval for Communications Technologies Act” to make the approval processes within federal agencies more efficient for applications to install communications technology on federal property.
