Labor Day weekend stirs stormy weather

Thunderstorms and even a tornado rocked northeastern Illinois yesterday. Flood warnings and later a tornado warning were issued for Lake and Cook Counties as a tornado reportedly touched down in a state park near Rockford.

The NWS will be accessing damages today.

Scattered showers were reported in parts of Iroquois, Kankakee and Livingston counties (Monday). Rainfall amounts varied.
