State officials are speaking out in support of Health Alliance employees and customers after the health insurer announced that all of their plans will be discontinued at the end of the year, with the exception of Medicare Advantage. State Sen. Chapin Rose said he is “shocked, stunned, and saddened” by the news and said his office will stand by to try and help in any way he can in job training and recruitment efforts for the impacted employees.
Senator Chris Balkema also said his heart goes out to the families and employees impacted by this news. He said losing a trusted heakthcare provider creates uncertainty and stress. The lawmakers said their offices are available for questions.
