Most of Illinois state government is closed today for Lincoln’s birthday. That means you won’t be able to take care of driving-related business with the Illinois Secretary of State’s office. Driver’s service facilities will reopen Thursday and Friday, but then will be closed again Monday for Presidents Day, another state holiday.

County government offices are closed. You may want to call ahead to say who / what agencies are observing the holiday.
