The Ford County Board has elected Bob Lindgren of Loda as its new chairman. He’s the former Vice-Chair and will head-up Ford County’s governmental operations the next two years.
There were no other nominations for the chairmanship Monday.
Lindgren first served on the board in 1996. He says he looks for cooperation and keeping the county financially solvent.
Lindgren served as Vice-Chair under former Board Chair Randy Berger, who did not seek another term.
Chase McCall of Gibson City was elected vice chairman in a three-way contest. The membership chose McCall over Tom McQuinn of rural Paxton and Debbie Smith of Paxton.
Smith is one of three newcomers to the board. She did serve as Chairman years ago, She left the board and now joins Ann and Cindy Ihrke as newcomers. The Ihrke’s represent the Buckley and Roberts areas.
