The Livingston County Health Department is confirming two residents have tested positive for West Nile virus. It brings to 57 the number of Illinoisans who have had confirmed cases of the potentially deadly disease this year.
"We have had two positive West Nile cases in Livingston County," MaLinda Hillman, Livingston County Health Department administrator said Wednesday. Both received medical treatment.
Statewide, five of the 57 people with confirmed cases of West Nile have died.
