A 58-year-old Fairbury man died Thursday evening when his car collided with a semi tractor-traiiler. It happened on Route 47 south of Dwight.

The un-identified victim was southbound when his cxar crossed the centerline and collided with the northbound semi, according to Livingston County Coroner Danny Watson. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver wasn’t injured.

Illinois State Police investigated about 6 pm in Union Township.
