A 30-year-old Oswego woman died early Saturday when her car collided with a pickup truck on Illinois 47 in Livingston County. The accident happened a half-mile south of Saunemin.

Livingston County Deputy Coroner Marie Margherio identified the woman as Heather K. Wandt.

Illinois State Police reported Wandt was northbound trying to pass a semitrailer truck when her car collided with a southbound pickup truck. Wandt was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy is planned and the crash remains under investigation by State Police.

Assisting at the scene were Saunemin Fire and EMS, Cullom Fire and Rescue, Duffy Ambulance and South East Livingston County Ambulance Service.
