Iroquois County Crime Stoppers welcomes any info anyone might have concerning a vacant house fire that destroyed the structure early Tuesday. The house in the 400-block of E. Jefferson Street was destroyed. The foundation is all that’s left. And there’s questions as to what caused the blaze. The 2-story house was engulfed when firemen arrived about 1 am.
Iroquois County Sheriff Investigator Clint Perzee said the State Fire Marshall is working with the sheriff’s office with the investigation. Perzee said the house was locally –owned and authorities are looking for suspsects.
More than two-dozen firemen from Loda, Buckley and Paxton answered the call. The cause wasn’t determined.
