"Pride in America" is this year's theme for the Loyalty Day Parade in Bradley on Sunday. The parade steps off on Broadway Street at 1 pm.

The parade's intent is to salute American veterans. This year's event makes a point of special mention in that it's the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II and the 40th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.

The parade is sponsored by the Bourbonnais Veterans of Foreign Wars & Ladies Auxiliary 9961.

Organizers say parade entries are still welcome. There is no charge to enter. The parade route begins at Washington Avenue and continue west on Broadway to Kennedy Drive and the parking lot of Bradley West Elementary School.
