Former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan is guilty of bribery conspiracy – although jurors found him not guilty on other counts.
Capitol News Illinois reports Madigan was facing 23 public corruption charges, including an overarching racketeering charge. The jury deadlocked as to whether he and co-defendant and longtime lobbyist Mike McClain were guilty of that charge.
