The 2022 Illinois Primary Election is June 28th, moved from March.  The election is less than three months away and voters can now apply for a mail-in ballot.  The state website has details at elections.IL.gov

Officials also announced mail-In ballots will be sent out May 19th.  That's also when In-Person Early-Voting begins.  Questions can be directed to your local county clerk.
