Watseka student takes lead
“Zakk Clark’s ‘Make a Difference’ Talent Competition” appears to be a big hit. And it hasn’t even happened yet.
Zakk Clark will host this talent competition Sunday. A 2 pm event at Watseka High School. This is a Civics class project. Student musicians from Iroquois County perform on stage. Clark’s project, it’s hoped, will become an annual event. The “Make a Difference” project invites attendees to the musical competition to bring items to benefit the Watseka Area Food Pantry. The Pantry benefits people in Iroquois County.
Zakk Clark’s press release on the event states contestants in a Junior and Senior Division will compete. Judging is a People’s Choice approach, the audience will have the say on who wins prizes.
The public is welcome. No monetary entry fee, just an item(s) for the Food Pantry. Zakk says, it’s the Thanksgiving/Christmas season and in the spirit of the season a time to help others in need.
