A Manteno man died in a 2-vehicle crash this (Thursday) morning on Route 45 in Kankakee County.

35-year-old Jeremiah Spainhour was pronounced dead at Riverside Hospital. Illinois State Police at District 21 reported Spainhour was northbound at 8000N Road when his car crossed the centerline, crashing into the rear tires of a tractor-trailer pulling a gravel hauler. The crash happedned just before 7:40 am.

The semi-tractor driver was driven by a 47-year-old man from Forrest.

I-55 crash kills woman in Will County

Illinois State Police at Joliet are investigating a fatal crash on I-55. It happened at 1 am Thursday morning. Two vehicles were southbound near the Black Road underpass when the crash occurred. A female was killed in the crash and two others were injured.
