This weekend's four-day run for the Manteno Oktoberfest invites area citizens to enjoy several activities.  "All You Need is Love" is this year's theme for the Kankakee County event.  Because last year's event didn't happen due to COVID, Manteno Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Sarah Marion, said organizers are fired up for the fun.  The list of scheduled-events run thru Sunday. 

Eighteen bands perform on different stages.  Copeland's Bar & Grill is the headline sponsor, pushing to bring foot traffic to the downtown area.  Garage sales, food and street vendors and Fantasy Amusement Carnival attractions are all included.
