Benny Marcier will be the next mayor of Watseka.  The 3rd Ward alderman was a  winner over 4th Ward Alderman Scott Anderson in the Consolidated Election Tuesday.  Marcier won about 62% of the vote to succeed John Allhands, who did not seek another term. 

In the Aldermanic races --- Mark Garfield defeated Chris Meredith in Ward 1; Charles DeWitt defeated Tom Jones in Ward 2, Jeff Petersen won the 3rd Ward over Jenny DeLahr; and Nicholas Brault defeated two others in Ward 4, Paula Williamson and Bridget Tobeck.

A reported 25% pf the Iroquois County voters turnedout for Tuesday's election.
