The "Mayor of Route 66" is resigning the top job in Pontiac. Mayor Bob Russell says he will leave his position at the end of the month. Russell says he's been blessed to work with a dedicated team for more than ten years. He has been a Pontiac resident for more than three decades and served 17 years as an alderman. He was elected mayor in 2009.
