Residents in Gilman should know electric aggregation solicitors going door-to-door do not have any ties with the city.
Mayor Rick Theesfeld says he's received some reports that solicitors may be mis-leading some people about their connection with the city. Theesfeld said the solicitors trying to drum up business "are not associated with the city of Gilman."
The mayor said the city is currently locked in an electric aggregation program with Homefield Energy. He said the 38-month program, in his book, is about the best negotiable plan out there right now.
