McDonald's construction ready to move forward in Watseka

New technology and customers table service are just some of the expectations for a new McDonald's restaurant soon to be under construction in Watseka.

Owner-Operators Wayne and Marsha Jarosh say they really miss being part of the community and look forward to the progress in building the NEW McDonald's at its new location. The new restaurant will be at the site of the old Burger King and Flower Shack at 504 E. Walnut Street in Watseka. Both sites will be demolished in the coming weeks.

The old McDonald's site will also be demolished.  The store has been de-branded.

Jarosh said the projected opening of the NEW McDonald's at 504 E. Walnut will be in April of 2019. Plans are to hire 45-55 people for the store.  Hiring and training will begin in February.

McDonald's is involved in a global effort to evolve the restaurant experience for its customers. The planned work is to develop a contemporary and modern restaurant experience that takes into account the community.  Jarosh said "not every restauarant will look and operate the same as ours."  Technology is transforming every aspect of the customer experience.  Significant investments are in digital and technology to deliver added convenience, value and entertainment for guests.
