Area Veterans’ Groups, American Legion, V.F.W. Posts… are all invited to submit their information for upcoming Memorial Day services. Most of the holiday services are Monday, May 30. The public is invited to share in the services.

Details need to be sbmitted by mid-day Thursday, May 26.

The Kankakee County Veterans Council will hold two Memorial Day Services on Monday, May 30.  Stanley Olenjack of the County Veterans' Council will emcee both events. At 9 am, a service is at the Menrial Garden's Cemetery on Route 17 East.  Military rites will be performed, including the Posting of Colors.  A second event is on the North Lawn of the Kankakee County Courthouse at 10:30 am.  

The Kankakee Veterans' Council Organization includes:  St. George American Legion Post 1164, Kankakee American Legion Post 85, Kankakee County Disabled American Veterans Chapter 34, Kankakee VFW Post 2857, Veterans Assistance Commission of Kankakee County.
