The Midwest Ag Expo at Gordyville USA opened its doors and rolled out its welcome mat for visitors and exhibitors today (Wednesday). The cold weather not too fun but sunshine greeted everyone for the two-day event. Activities are Thursday as well. Gordyville USA hosts the annual event. This year, there were reports of 170 exhibitors.
WGFA/WIBK's John Roberts is there for a 'live' broadcast (Wednesday) 11 am - 1 pm.
“Last year’s decision to cancel was easy, because a lot with the COVID pandemic was unknown at that point,” show manager Gary Manke said. “Everyone did not have education when it came to the COVID pandemic, and it was really easy to cancel the show, because we put safety first. Basically, we thought it was not in our best interest, or our exhibitors’ and our attendees’ best interest to try to pull off a show at that time last year.”
This year, mitigations plans are in place. Manke said masks would be available for attendees to wear, but not required. Manke adds, “ it’s up to all of our attendees to take their own safety precautions."
