An altercation at a Milford residence Tuesday evening now finds 52-year-old Danny Murphy facing 2-counts of murder. Bond was set at $2-million Thursday in Iroquois Circuit Court. Murphy is jailed in Watseka.

The victim is 48-year-old David Garrett of Milford. Sheriff's Police said he suffered a beating at a Milford site. He was treated at Presence-Iroquois Memorial Hospital then transferred to Carle Hospital in Urbana where he died of injuries Wednesday.

Milford Police and Iroquois County Sheriff's Police are investigating.
