The beating death of a Milford man two years ago now finds another Milford man facing sentencing for involuntary manslaughter. 54-year-old Danny Murphy remains jailed in Watseka on a $1-million bond.

Murphy pleaded guilty to the Class 3 felony of manslaughter. He was originally charged with 2-counts of murder in the death of 48-yr-old David Garrett. The victim died of injuries after an altercation at Milford residence in April of 2015.

Murphy is scheduled to be sentenced for involuntary manslaughter by Judge James Kinzer Wednesday, Aug. 23.
