35-year-old William Clingenpeel Jr. will have to answer to drug charges after a one-vehicle crash near Hoopeston last Friday. Illinois State Police report the accident sent two people to the hospital.

Clingenpeel rolled a pickup truck on Illinois Route 1 near 100 North Road between Milford and Hoopeston.

Clingenpeel and 30-year-old passenger Joshua Witty, also from Milford, were taken to Hoopeston Community Hospital then transferred to Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Charges filed included driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
