Missing 4-year-old found safe

Positive results involving a four-year-old who went missing in Iroquois Township in Newton County, IN. Sheriff’s Police report the child was lost in a corn field. Several emergency responders stepped up in an organized search coordinated by a couple of deputies. We’re told it was a quick and happy resolution. The young boy was found safe.

Sheriff Tm VanVleet extends his thanks to deputies, off-duty deputies, Newton County EMA, Jasper County Sheriff’s Police, Goodland Police, Indiana State Police. Drug Task Force, Brook Police, Newton County 9-1-1, Indiana Conservation Police and volunteers from Brook, Morocco, Goodland and Kentland Fire. State Police and Lake County Sheriff Department also had helicopters enroute. And there was manpower from Rose Acre Farms.
