Missing Wilmington juvenile located in Ohio, Suspect in custody

A missing juvenile from Wilmington was located safely in Ohio last night. Wilmington Police report the 13-year-old girl left her home in Wilmington after babysitting and was last seen around 5 pm. Police were called by the girl’s stepfather just past 6 pm. Family members said the girl told them she was going to be leaving. The girl’s mother started looking into communication records and officers were able to determine that the girl had been speaking with a person from Ohio. An investigation by authorities revealed additional information on the man that the girl had been communicating with. Police officials were able to identify the man as 21-year-old Andrew Boltz of Kenton, Ohio.

Investigators were also to locate Boltz’s location, which was near the Indiana/Ohio state line. Police said the Ohio State Patrol was able to stop the vehicle and take Boltz into custody. The juvenile was not injured. Charges are pending.
