Decisions to be made about perhaps, a new trial in Will County after there was no resolution in a 2017 crash in suburban Beecher that killed a pregnant mother and her three children. A mistrial was declared yesterday (Wed) in the trial of Sean Woulfe after the jury was unable to reach a consensus on a verdict. Woulfe was charged with multiple counts of reckless homicide in the crash that took the lives of Lindsey Schmidt, her unborn child and her three young sons. The defense argued he was neither drunk nor distracted.
Authorities had reported his truck was moving at least 20 mph over the speed limit when Woulfe ran a stop sign and hit the Schmidt vehicle, which was on its way to a Bible camp.
