A Friday night fire in rural Manteno was fueled by 25 mph winds that did extensive damage to a mobile home. Manteno Fire responded to 9990 N 6030 E Road. Officials found the rear of the home engulfed. No one was home and no injury was reported. Bourbonnais., Peotone and Grant Park Fire provided mutual aid. The cause was under investigation.

In Danville ... a weekend fire did an estimated $13,000 damage to a 1-story structure on Johnson Street.  Danville firemen responded just before 1 pm Saturday.  The home there was not occupied and under renovation.  Officials said there was not any utility service at the site.  The house was a total loss.  No injury reported.  The cause is under investigation.
