Local residents in Momence helped police track down three now charged with stealing more than $10,000 in equipment from the city’s streets and alleys building on June 16.

Citizens reported suspicious activity. Charged with theft are 45-year-old Raymond Burton, 35-year-old Christopher Tuttle, and 32-year-old Sarah Walsh. All three are from Momence.

Judge Clark Erickson set bail at $200,000 for each.
All three were apprehended at a vacant home in Sun River Terrace, where most of the items were recovered.
